On April 25th 2007, the Duchess of Wessex officially opened Hollywater School - it was a fabulous and very exciting day. On Tuesday April 25th 2017 we celebrated our 10th anniversary.
The day began with the pupils being able to wear non-school uniform and choose the activities they would like all morning! KS4 did continue to go to Alton and Highbury as they really enjoy their weekly college experience and were trying new activities of Photography and motor mechanics.
The whole school joined together for a celebratory lunch, some of our Governors joined us and then at the end of the meal, our Chair of Governors, Headteacher and some pupils cut the special cakes that had been made.
In the afternoon we ate pieces of celebration cake and had a Disco, which had been voted for by our School Council. It was a fabulous day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
The special celebrations will be continuing throughout the Summer term with an art project that will completed by the pupils using clay, welcoming 2 guinea pigs called 'Ollie' and 'Walter' and a whole school photograph.
