In KS3 we have 4 classes: Purple, Red, Orange and Charcoal.

KS3 is a mix of classes for pupils with ASD, SLD, MLD, PMLD. Purple class are using the Equals Curriculum which is a different curriculum that promotes independence, communication and interaction. The rest of the classes follow the core curriculum.

We follow a complete communication approach with the use of symbols, Makaton and SALT input.

Activities we are doing include horse-riding sessions, off-site visits, pet therapy, yoga, residential visits, rebound, table cricket, dough disco, write dance and squiggle whilst you wiggle. For the core subjects we use Little Wandle for phonics and White Rose for maths.
